LOCAL MISSIONS
Adopt-A-Soldier
Each year we select a military service person who is serving abroad and send letters, care packages, and weekly prayers in support of them and their families.
Camp Carefree (http://www.campcarefree.org/)
Located in Stokesdale since 1986, Camp Carefree has provided a FREE, one week camping experience for kids with chronic illnesses. Our program also includes camps for well siblings of ill children, and a week for children with a sick parent.
Creekside Nursing Home
Visits with special holiday cards and gifts are shared with residents four to five times a year.
Economic Crisis Fund
Special fund to assist persons in the Stokesdale community who are in financial crisis.

Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Economic Assistance. We belong to this affiliation of churches, businesses, and individuals who have come together in order to provide charitable services to people who live in the greater Stokesdale area. For assistance contact Terry Johnson at 336-643-5887.
Stokesdale Elementary
Assisting with student scholarships for 5th Grade Washington D.C. trip, collecting schools supplies, and other needs as they arise in the school year.
UMAR @ the Roc and UMAR Art on Scales in Reidsville

UMAR is the provider of vocational services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Rockingham County. Operating on the campus formerly occupied by Rockingham Opportunities Corporation (ROC). UMAR at The ROC provides person-centered, quality services in a supportive, respectful environment with an array of vocational opportunities tailored to individual needs, abilities and choices.
Art on Scales in Reidsville, 239 S. Scales St., Reidsville, NC 27320 is a working studio and gallery for artists with disabilities. Art is available for purchase in the gallery and volunteers and/or community artists are always welcome.. Through their expressions, UMAR ARTS students are able to break down social barriers by forming partnerships in the community and learning new skills for future employment opportunities.
We Care Teddy Bears
From fabric, to hand sewn faces, to stuffing, we make handmade teddy bears that are able to be shipped to an orphanage in Armenia, as well as shared locally with area nursing homes residents, our Fire Department, and the Sherriff's Department to be given to children in crisis situations.
GLOBAL MISSIONS

This ministry is to Armenia and to some of our most desperate Christian brothers and sisters. It is a collaborative effort of the North Carolina and the Western North Carolina Conferences of The United Methodist Church in a joint effort with the Armenian Apostolic Church. Each year we support this ministry with: clothes, Christmas shoeboxes, food, teddy bears, packing shipping boxes at the Missions Response Center in Mooresville, NC, as well as opportunities to be on Building Teams once a year.
Christmas Alternative Giving
Each December, in the Narthex at church, people are given the opportunity to shop alternative Christmas gifts that go in support of Greensboro Urban Ministry, UMAR, church missions, Heifer International, and more.

Stop Hunger Now gets food and life-saving aid to the world’s most vulnerable people, and works to end global hunger in our lifetime.
