LOOK WHAT WE ARE DOING IN THE COMMUNITY:
1. Alternative Christmas Cards
Christmas cards will be for sale on Wednesdays from 12 - 2 PM under the awning at church and on Sunday mornings in the narthex. We have honor cards for Good Samaritan Ministries and for Camp Carefree. We request a minimum of $5 each. Please buy a card to honor important people in your life. You send them a card and we'll send the money to the proper ministry.
2. Project Agape
Fifty-seven shoe boxes were delivered to the Mission Response Center on November 16th along with bedding, other kits and a box of toys. Thank you! Start looking now for items for next year’s boxes. Every child needs a toboggan, gloves and socks. We will accept boxes any time of year. Please put Project Agape items on table in back corner of Fellowship Hall.
3. Blankets
Please continue to donate "money for blankets". Nara will buy locally. She can give to the refugees from recent war quicker than waiting 6 to 8 weeks for a container to arrive. We have sent a check for $1138.00 to Project Agape. This included the "In Memory of Mike Hall" gifts that you gave. Nara is aware of these gifts and sent her sincere love and thanks to Sue and her family.
4. Sweatshirts
Sweatshirts are still on backorder. The other yellow shirts we ordered should be delivered soon.. I have a few adult size small shirts on hand. See me if you can use one of these. They are $15. Good stocking stuffer.
5. Quail Acres
We will need help on December 22nd at the Quail Acres Mobile Market from 2pm - 5pm. This is food distribution day. Mark your calendars and let Jane Hartman know that you'll be there. We serve about 20 families. IT IS HEAVY WORK! Too hard for the elderly to work alone. Please give one afternoon a month. See you there!
